I've been learning how to play the guitar with Jamorama guitar lessons and I really do think they are better than private lessons. At least they are better in my experience.

FAR LESS EXPENSIVE

The first reason that Jamorama is better is cost. Unless you have just a ton of money to blow the cost difference is very substantial. I did 3 months of private lessons and it was nearly $2000. I decided I wasn't making that much progress and it cost way too much so I decided to try Jamorama online guitar lessons instead. I mean it's a one time $40 payment instead of paying more than that for each and every lesson. Obviously it's not even close when it comes to cost effetiveness or "return on investment."

PRACTICE ON YOUR OWN SCHEDULE

One of the things I really like about onilne lessons in comparison to private lessons is that I can practice on my own schedule instead of having to work around the schedule of my guitar tutor. I like to stay up late and practice late. So now I can practice at 2 AM on a Tuesday night if I want. It definitely works out much better for me.

BEN EDWARDS

He's the guy who will be teaching you when you download Jamorama. He's a great guitarist (he's toured internationally) but more important than that he's a great teacher because let me tell you from personal experience, not all guitar tutors are great teachers. Some of them seem more interested in showing off how good they are than actually teaching you (that was like the guy I had... which brings me to the next topic.)

NO JERKS TO DEAL WITH

I'm sure not all guitar tutors are jerks but the one I had was a real piece of work. He just had a bad attitude and that got real old real quick. It made practicing no fun.

FREE BONUSES

The amazing thing with Jamorama is not only do you get over a year's worth of guitar lessons when you download it, you also get some other great free bonuses that I've been getting a lot of use out of. That includes a guitar tuner and a metronome and a free subscription to the SongPond website (which is an amazing place where you can learn how play any song you want.)
